MORFOMETRIK IKAN SELAIS PANJANG LAMPUNG (Kryptopterus apogon) DI SUNGAI KAMPAR KIRI DAN SUNGAI TAPUNG, PROVINSI RIAU

Abstract

Province of Riau is known for having many rivers with different water conditions. Research of selais panjang lampung fish (Kryptopterus apogon) was conducted in two streams, which were in the Kampar Kiri River and Tapung River. This study aimed to assess and compare the morphometric differences in both male and female fish in Kampar Kiri River and Tapung River. The research was conducted in August - October 2015. The samples were taken as many as 30 males and 30 females per month for each study site. The results showed that there were differences in morphometric characters which the fish in Tapung River had a bigger body size than those fish in Kampar Kiri River. A correlation test presented in graphical comparison form was performed to understand the relationship among variables. T test showed that there were differences in morphometric characters of both sites. Analysis of linear regression equation and growth status of fish on each observation station was isometric, allometric positive, and allometric negative.
