Abstract:
This paper explains that, garbage has become a serious problem, especially in some big cities
in Indonesia, including in the city of Pekanbaru. lack of public awareness of the negative
impacts generated by the garbage, makes the problem becomes more seriously, because of the
implications of garbage can lead to many things, from the emergence of the problem of
flooding until the destruction of the ecological environment. This paper is specifically trying
to explain the social engineering of the existing garbage management in the city of Pekanbaru.
Internalization of social engineering garbage management is done through a variety of parties,
from individuals to government officials. If this internalization fails, then the law enforcement
demonstrated and exhibited in public in the expected deterrent effect on the society, giving
rise to public awareness of the significance of the impact of waste on people's lives.
