Abstract:
This article discusses the application of variational iteration method for solving linear
and nonlinear Volterra integral and integro-differential equations. The application
process begins by converting the equation to be solved to an equivalent of integrodifferential
equations, followed by forming a correction functions of variational
iteration method for the integro-differential equation. Then the iteration is
performed to obtain the solution of the linear and nonlinear Volterra integral and
integro-differential equation. The theoretical study is applied to some examples of
the linear and nonlinear Volterra integral and integro-differential equation and the
results obtained demonstrate the effectiveness of the discussed method
