STUDY TENTANG MOBILITAS SOSIAL LINTAS BATAS DI KOTA DUMAI

Abstract

This research was conducted in the Village Pangkalan Sesai District of West Dumai Dumai City in October 2013, in this study, the object is the people who experience social mobility across borders in the city dumai . This study was conducted aimed to determine the form of cross-border social mobility that occurs in society Pangkalan Sesai in the District of West Dumai Dumai City and Factors whatever background the people doing social mobility across borders between countries. to obtain accurate data, researchers used data collection techniques snowball sampling is sampling the respondent network system. This research is a descriptive qualitative study in which data from interviews in the descriptive analysis of narrative. The results showed that social mobility in view of social mobility in horizontal and vertical social mobiltas. And the factors that community background to social mobility is of physical factors ( influence of frontier town of Dumai, form of travel, local resources attractive destination respondents, and those who helped the respondents in the traveling wander), economic factors (capital and economic trouble), educational factors (influence of education and educational purposes), the attractiveness of the destination, and cultural elements of social factors , social status, family support, marital status , and dissemination in the area of the neighborhood).
