Abstract:
This study aims to describe the implementation of employment programs created by the Dinas Tenaga Kerja in 2012 in the city of Pekanbaru reduce unemployment and to describe barriers faced Manpower Agency in Pekanbaru City Employment Programme Implementation. The usefulness of this research is to enrich the concept or theory which underpins the development of science for human resources, especially in relation to the function of the Department of Labor employment program as implementers and contribute ideas. The result is also expected to provide a reference for doing research.
The method used is through a qualitative approach. It means that the data collected is not the form of numbers, but the data derived from the interview script, court records, personal documents, record memos, and other official documents. So that is the purpose of this qualitative study was to describe the empirical reality behind the phenomenon in depth, detailed and thorough. Techniques of data collection using interviews and documentation techniques.
In order for the implementation of employment programs that have been organized by the Dinas Tenaga Kerja and the city of Pekanbaru running on target takes cooperation from various parties such as governments, companies and communities. rom the research it can be concluded that the implementation of Department of Labor employment programs Pekanbaru City in 2012 to reduce the amount of pengaguran still not yet able to push the unemployment rate according to target up to 5% year.
