Abstract:
This research purposed to increase the result of science study fourth grade’s students
in SD N 016 Tanah Merah Kabupaten Kampar year 2012/2013 with “improved
learning outcomes science with contextual teaching and learning approach”. This
research did in March – April 2013. Subject of this research are the fourth’s grade
students in SD N 016 Tanah Merah Kabupaten Kampar with 30 students, were 11
male and 19 female. Form of action research is a collaborative classroom (teacher and
researcher) with two cycle. The parameter of this research is the result of student’s
study after every cycle. Research instruments include learning devices (syllabi, lesson
plans, worksheets, achievement test sheet), student’s observation sheet and teacher’s
activity. Data of the result research analysis by descriptive. Data of the result research
show increased. Teacher’s activity categorized good with value in first cycle 61% and
75% with 68% averages. In the second cycle the value 86% and 96% with 91
averages. Students activity in the first cycle 55% and 70% with 62.5% averages. And
the second cycle 80% and 95% with 87.5% averages. This result showed the research
experience increased, were before do improved learning outcomes science with
contextual teaching and learning approach (CTL) just 9 students who pass (30%)
increased with value (73,6), then in the fisrt cycle increased become 47% with 77,3
averages. Increased with 3.7 point. The in the second cycle more increased become
88,3 with 83% with averages increased 11 point. And with it we can coclude that
improved learning outcomes science with contextual teaching and learning approach
can increased the result of science of fourth’ grade student in SD N 016 Tanah Merah
Kabupaten Kampar.
