Abstract:
The research was motivated by a variety of phenomena such as the transfer of class V
SDN; 1) Only 12 students were able to make arrangements based on the outline 2)
There are 25 students have not been able to develop the outline correctly, 3) the ability
of students to write a narrative essay is still low, only a fraction of the number of
students who are able to write a narrative essay with attention to word choice and
spelling, of the 34 students only 32.4% or 12 students who completed only reached the
KKM (minimum value of 70). Therefore, the author would like to conduct research as
a class action before learning remedial efforts. As for title of this research is
Application of Model Cooperative Learning Type of TPS (Think Pair Share) for
Improve Writing Ability Authorship Narrative Students are class V SDN 015 The
transfer of Subdistrict Kuantan Hilir. Research is action research (action research).
Action research is essentially a series of "research-action-research-action" cycle
conducted in order to solve the problem, until the problem was solved. The research
subjects were students of class V SDN District 015 Transfer of Kuantan Hilir, totaling
34 people consisting of 19 male students and 15 female students. Accordance the
results of research, then the obtained an answer from formulation of the problem,
namely learning model Think Pair Share can improve the ability write the essay
narrative grade students V SDN 015 The transfer of Kecamatan Kuantan Hilir .. The
average value of students' skills on the initial data is sufficiently 67.65 or by category,
and 52.9% of students completeness or only 18 people. The first cycle increased to
70.1 or with enough categories, and 64.7% of students completeness or 22 people
there. The ability to write a narrative essay on the second cycle increased to 78.92 or
with both categories, and completeness increased to 100% or all students completed.
