dc.description.abstract The purpose of this research was conducted to find out the condition of stomach tissue baung fish from Siak river, especially at cardiac, fundus and pylorus section. The samples were collected from November 2012 to Maret 2013. All samples were prepared for histological observation using paraffin method and Hematoxylin-Eosin (HE) stain. Structure of baung fish stomach pouch like consisted of cardiac, fundus, and pylorus and have consisted four layers i.e. mucosa, submucosa, muscularis, and serosa. The stomach tissue baung fish have the damage at mucosa and submucosa layers. The stomach tissue have damaged such as necrosis, rupture, lysis, vakuolasion, cell swelling, area enlargement of propria lamina and increasing lymfosit. As conclulasion, the condition of stomach tissue baung fish is influenced by the condition of Siak river. en_US
