Abstract:
Provinsi Riau represent one of the provinsi in Indonesia owning very forest of wide. But, forest exist in Provinsi Riau it him progressively feel concerned about. This matter because of the hoisterous of action of illegal logging. On duty forestry as one of the given by institution is authority in management of forest, have conducted various effort in overcoming logging illegal. One of them by conducting investigation, investigation to doing an injustice of illegal logging in institution on duty forestry conducted by investigator of public servant of forestry civil.

Peranan penyidik pegawai negeri sipil dinas kehutanan dalam menanggulangi tindak pidana illegal logging di Provinsi Riau adalah dengan melakukan penyidikan terhadap pelaku tindak pidana illegal logging berdasarkan KUHAP dan peraturan perundang-undangan dibidang kehutanan serta berkoordinasi dengan aparat penegak hukum lainnya dalam menanggulangi tindak pidana illegal logging, khususnya dalam hal penyidikan terhadap tindak pidana illegal logging.
