Abstract:
The research was motivated by the low student learning outcomes, the average value of 59.8, and is
lower than the minimum completeness criteria specified in the 65. 23 the number of students, students
who completed only 12 of his students with a percentage of 52.2%, while students who did not complete
11 students with a percentage of 47.8%. In addition, the student learning less once asked the teachers,
only good students are active in asking. The hypothesis in this study is if applied learning model role
playing, it can improve student learning outcomes fifth grade elementary school district 006 Salo Salo
Kampar regency. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in social studies class V SDN
006 Salo Salo Kampar regency using role playing learning model with the number of students 23
students. Research is a form of action research. The research instrument consists of learning tools and
data collection instruments such as teacher observation sheet activities, student activities, and student
achievement test IPS. The data presented in this study are: 1) Student learning outcomes can be
determined from the average results of study before action is 59.8 in the first cycle the average grade of
the decline down to 49.1 from the preliminary data for the first cycle was 10, 7 and second cycle
increased to 72.0. Overall at the end of the second cycle all social studies indicators and outcomes of
students has increased, 2) activities to implement the model teacher for role playing to increase at each
meeting. In the first cycle, the first meeting of the percentage obtained 57.5%, and increased in the
second meeting to be 72.5% with an increase of 15 units. In the second cycle of the first meeting and
the second meeting of 85.0% increased to 92.5% with an increase of 7.5 units, 3) student activities for
studying the role playing models also increased at each meeting. At the first meeting of the first cycle
obtained an average score of 57.5% and a second meeting increased to 75.0%. While at the first
meeting of the second cycle increased to 82.5% and increased in the second meeting to be 92.5%. From
the results of the study proved that the application of role playing can improve learning outcomes IPS
fifth grade students SDN 006 Salo Salo Kampar regency
