Abstract:
The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of students ie 67.47 IPS
caused by an explanation that the material submitted by teachers, in teaching only
give lectures and push students to memorize, so that students can not develop
ideas idenyaPenelitian Class Action aims to improve learning outcomes IPS to
apply the Cooperative Learning Model Study Group Investigation in Elementary
School fourth grade students 042 Pekanbaru. This study took place from 04
January 2013 to 05 February 2013 the subject of this study is that the fourth
grade students of 40 people consisting of 19 men and 21 women. Data collection
instrument in this study is the achievement test, teacher and student observation
sheet. Obtained from this study absorption in the first cycle of students who
received either category all 16 students with a percentage of 40%, both categories
of 12 students with 30% percentage, categories 8 students with a sufficient
percentage of 21%. 4 less category percentage of students with less than 9% and
not ada.sedangkan on the second cycle students increases the absorption of both
categories all 26 students with a percentage of 64%, both categories 8orang
students with a percentage of 21%, category 6 students with enough percentage of
14%. Less and less category does not exist. Individual mastery learning in the
first cycle there are 30 students with classical completeness 75%, in the second
cycle there are 36 students with classical completeness 85%. Activities of teachers
in the first cycle with an average of 67.17% with a good category, while the
second cycle with an average of 97, 17% with very good category. The average
activity of students in the first cycle was 56.24% in both categories, while the
second cycle with an average of 90.62% with a very good category. From this
study it can be concluded that the application of Cooperative Learning Model
Study Group Investigation can improve learning outcomes IPS Elementary School
fourth grade students 042 Pekanbaru.
