dc.description.abstract The background of this research with the percentage of students who achieve KKM 75 in the first semester 2012/2013 are still very low. Of the 41 students, there are students who achieve KKM 18 people (43.90%), and students who do not reach the KKM 23 people (56.10%) with an average grade 72.36. This is due to students' difficulties in understanding concepts in mathematics which is one factor that mempengaruhui student learning outcomes. To improve students' mathematics learning outcomes required action to improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes. One of the innovative learning model of problem-based learning. Formulation of the problem in this study is "Does Problem Based Learning Implementation Model can improve learning outcomes A fourth grade math students of SD Negeri 21 Pekanbaru. Research on primary school places 21 Pekanbaru with research subjects is a fourth grade student who totaled 41 people, male students and 22 female students 19 people. This study was conducted in 3 cycles. The average value of students prior to class actions classical completeness 74.02 to 43.90%. In the first cycle, the average grade of students increased to 77.73 with classical completeness 60.97%. Resulting in an increase in the average student value of 3.71 points from the average baseline score. Increased again in the second cycle the average value of a class with classical completeness 80.85 80.48% an increase in the average student value of 3.12 points from the average value of cycle I. And the third cycle the average value increased to 86.87 grade students with classical completeness 95.12% an increase of 6.02 points from the average value of the second cycle class. On teacher and student observation sheet also increased from the first meeting until the meeting of the first cycle II cycle III. Based on the results of this study can be accepted that the application of Problem Based Learning Model to improve learning outcomes A fourth grade math students of SD Negeri 21 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2012/2013. en_US
