FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI REMAJA LAKI-LAKI MENJADI PEROKOK DI SMAN 2 TAPUNG

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect adolescent boys to be smokers at SMAN 2 Tapung. The method used is descriptive correlation. The total Sample 122 studet that the daca was collected by cluster sampling. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire with 26 questions to the factors that affect adolescent boys to be smokers who had qualified the validity and rehabilitation. Univariate analysis was used to test bivariate statistics and Chi Square. The results showed that of 6 independent variables studied, the conclusion of each factor is knowledge about smoking factors with p value = 0.86, the personality type with p value = 0.72, attitude toward health with p value = 1.32 , family influence for smokers with p value = 0.09, the influence supports on smoking behavior with p value = 1.43, and the appeal of cigarette advertising with p value = 0.43. Based on these results, it is recommended to teens who smoke in order to raise awareness that smoking the future so motivated to reduce the number of cigarettes consumed gradually.
