Abstract:
This study aims to improve learning outcomes through the use of
mathematical models of type STAD cooperative learning in class of IIIB SDN 001 Salo
semester academic year 2012/2013 on the subject matter of simple fractions. This
research was conducted in the Class of IIIB SDN 001 Salo academic year 2012/2013.
The research was conducted in November 2012. Subjects were students of class of IIIB
SDN 001 Salo, totaling 18 people consisting of 9 male students and 9 female students
whose abilities are still many under the KKM. The form of this research is a form of
Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study was conducted in two cycles consisting
of the first cycle and second cycle each of the three meetings and one-time daily tests.
The results showed that with the use of type STAD cooperative learning model to
improve student learning outcomes, it is shown in the number of students who achieve
mastery criteria Minimum 70 on the base score 9 students (54%), increased in the first
cycle to 11 students (61% ) and increased again in the second cycle to 14 students
(78%). If applied type STAD cooperative learning model to improve learning outcomes
of mathematics at third grade students Class of IIIB SD 001 Salo semester academic
year 2012/2013 on the subject matter of simple fractions.
