KORELASI PENGALAMAN KLINIK DENGAN KETERAMPILAN KOMUNIKASI PADA MAHASISWA KEPANITERAAN KLINIK FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS RIAU

Abstract

Communication is important matter in establishing a doctor-patient relationship. Communication skills are not additional subject in their clinical. Without good communication skills, clinical knowledge and other skills can be ineffective. One factor that affects the communication skills is a clinical experience. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of clinical experience with communication skills among clinical students of Medical Faculty of Riau University. This study used correlation method carried out 109 students who were undergoing their clinical education profession in RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. The result of this study showed that there was a significant correlation between clinical experience with communication skills (r= 0,212; p= 0,025) but were weaker or less strong. In conclusion was the correlation between clinical experience with communication skills in clinic students of Medical Faculty of Riau University.
