ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to reveal the self-concept of students whose parents have little education class VII SMPN1 SIAK UPSTREAM Academic Year 2012/2013, before being held group counseling, to reveal the self-concept of students whose parents have little education class VII SMPN 1 SIAK HULU, ,self-concept is a person's response on the statement of "who I am" to realize one's about him is, as for the indicators of self-concept is an assessment of the physical condition, the selection of fashions, hairstyles, and make-up, maintenance and views on health, desire for possession of an object, an assessment of the results of school work, satisfaction with the intellectual status owned, the desire to develop talents and channeling interests and hobbies, level of contact with family members, the pattern of relationships in the school environment, the desire to worship and conduct religious activities, aware of the emotional state of this research is diri.Asumsi Each student has a variety of self-concept, self-concept students can be measured and identified indicators indikatornya.Dalam the study sample was 32,. data collection tool used was a questionnaire concept diri.Hasil obtained by comparing the value of t with t table at 5% confidence level (11.39> 2042). Seen that the t value of 11.39 is higher than the value of t table 2.042. Therefore we can conclude there is a significant relationship between self-concept group counseling with students whose parents have little education classes SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu Academic Year 2012/2013.
