IDENTIFIKASI CANDIDA SP. SWAB VAGINA PEKERJA SEKS KOMERSIAL DI KAWASAN JONDUL PEKANBARU

Abstract

Candida sp is one of microorganism from class of fungus that causes sexual transmitted infections. The prostitutes are the high risk person due to the sexual transmitted infection because the frequently of changing the sexual partners. This research was descriptive and has been done on December 2012 with purpose to determine the incidence of candidiasis according to the prostitutes who live surround Jondul, Pekanbaru with the amount of respondents that is equal to 27 persons. Swab vaginal was given to the respondents. Secrets from vaginal swab was cultured on sabouraud media and gram stain was given on the vaginal secrets. The result of this test shows that there are 11 persons (40,7%) of respondents were in positive candidiasis. Based on the complaints, it is shown that the respondents who are having candidiasis are the ones who are having the leucorrhoea with itching which is equal to 36,3%.
