Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to improve student achievement in math class IV SDN 021 Tanjung Medan semester of academic year 2011/2012 Pujud Rokan Hilir especially on the subject matter fold symmetry and reflection. Forms of this research is classroom action, this study consisted of two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings and one-time daily tests. Subjects in this study were fourth grade students Tanjung Medan District 021 school year 2011/ 2012 the number of students 33 people consisting of 23 male students and 10 female students. From the analysis of the results of the actions the number of students who achieve the KKM 60 increased after the action. Analytical results obtained in this study that through the implementation of cooperative question techniques exchanging greetings and questions indicate the number of students who achieve KKM after daily test measures the daily tests I and II is higher than the number of students who achieve a score of KKM on base (prior action). This suggests that students' mathematics achievement after the implementation of cooperative learning techniques exchanging greetings and questions rise from the base score (prior action). Thus, the results of the analysis of these actions support the hypothesis proposed action is the implementation of cooperative learning techniques exchanging greetings and questions can improve learning outcomes Elementary School fourth grade math 021 Tanjung Medan.
