Abstract

KEPADATAN DAN DISTRIBUSI GASTROPODA PADA MANGROVE DI PANTAI CERMIN KECAMATAN SERDANG BEDAGAI PROVINSI SUMATRA UTARA LonggonTanjung*), Suwondo, Elya Febrita, Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikans Universitas Riau ABSTRACT A study that aims to determine the density and distribution of mangrove gastropods in pantaiCerminBedagaiSerdang,Sumatra Utara Province in Januari to Februari 2012 using the survey method. Field data collection using 1x1 m plots were laid out on the line (belt transect). Determination of observation stations done purposively sampling at three observation points in the intertidal area. Biological parameters measured include: density and distribution index gastropods. Physico-chemical parameters include: temperature, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, substrate organic content and sediment texture. The results showed that there were 10 species of gastropods with the highest density was kind Telescopium sp, and distribution patterns for all types of gastropods evenly.
