This study is based on the low learning output IPS fourth grade students of SDN 77 Sebangar Duri. With initial data 42,85% of students who completed, the school determined that KKM 65. Objective of the research is to improve learning output IPS fourth grade student of SDN 77 Sebangar Duri through the application Contextual Teaching and Learning strategies. Strategies that are used to enhance learning output IPS fourth grade students of SDN 77 Sebangar Duri is Contextual Teaching and Learning strategy. That is by gradually building student’s knowledge, then students find their own activities that will be done through systematic thingking process, then teachers provoke students to ask because by asking teachers to guide and lead students to discover any material that studied. This concept also suggests forming study groups. Teachers also need to provide a medium of instruction to accelerate the achievement of learning objectives. In the learning process using CTL, each end of the lesson the teacher gives an opportunity to recall so it can be concluded about the learning experience. After the implementation of the strategy CTL number of students who completed a 70,42% in the first cycle and 100% in the second cycle. Of the results of study concluded increased student activity 12,5% and the average increase in learning output IPS 57,15%.
