KEBIJAKAN PEMERINTAH KOREA SELATAN DALAM MENGHADAPI KONFLIK DENGAN KOREA UTARA (2006-2012)

Abstract

This research describes about the policy of south korean government’ss in the face of conflict with north korea 2006-2012. This research uses the theory of the realist perspective, especially from Kenneth N. The level of analysis in his research is the state of the nation. This research auto uses the concept national interest by Donald E. Nuchterlain and security dilemma concept by John Herz. This concept is relevan with the case of South Korea and North Korea.The method used in this research is a qualitative research, the data were collected through books, journals, articles, electronic media, mass media and websites on the internet. This research begins with and overview analysis of the conflict between South Korea and North Korea. This research also explains how important the United State and Japan as balancing forces of North Korea. And finally describes about South Korea’s cooperation with the United State and Japan in the field of military and economic. This research shows concern about South Korea against North Korea’s nuclear weapons development. South Korea took steps to strengthen its military forces with the help of the United State and Japan
