dc.description.abstract Macang (Mangifera foetida Lour) belongs to the Anacadiaceae family which contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, tannins, phenols, saponoins, alkaloids and steroids which act as antibacterials. In general, the compound content in M. foetida is in line with the content produced by endophytic microbes in its plant tissues. This study aimed to isolate endophytic bacteria and endophytic fungi from the leaves and bark of the mango macang (M. foetida) plant. The study was conducted using the direct method. The results showed that 11 isolates of endophytic microbes were successfully obtained ie., five isolates of endophytic bacteria and six endophytic fungi isolate en_US
