Item ADSORPSI Zn 2+C DENGAN KAOLIN : TINJAUAN ASPEK THERMODINAMIKA(2013-03-07) FADLI, AHMADThe raw kaolin itself was a good adsorben . Zinc (II) would adsorb on kaolin from sincalang's deposit. Kaolin crushed and screened until the size solid approxiamettly - 200 + 240 mesh. Kaolin suspension prepared by rinsed witjh I M NaOH for approximately 12 hours. The solid included to Zn (II) solutions and determined AA (Atomic Adsorption Spectrometer). Samples were withdrawn every 15 minutes. The variables studied with temperature in the range 30 - 50 "C and concentration 40 - 60 ppm. The adsorpstion data analysed by the Frendlich, Langmuir and Brunauet ~ Emmet - Teller (BET) proposed models by regretionlinear method. Based on the result the freundlich model was suitable model to describe the equilibrium.From this model it was obtained that the value of constant equilibrium K = 2,6503 with temperature 3(fC, Enthalphi AH = -0,9865 kcal/mole ,Free energy Gibb AG =- 4,9007 kcal/mole and Entropy AS =12,918 kcal/moleItem ADSORPSi Xxi DENGAN KAOLIN : TINJAUAN ASPEK THERMODEVAMIKA(2012-12-02) FADLI, AHMADThe raw kaolin itself was a good adsorhen . Previous studies have been carried out on natural and rest-product materials but it was mostly comparative, trying to find out which of them adsorbs best. Ash is known to remove metal ion from water. In this study, batch experiments are conducted with boiler ash from palm industries to find out if it could be use to adsorption of cation Pb2+ This experiment has a purpose to identify chemical content like SiO2, AI2O3, CaO, and other inorganic oxide and the characteristic of palm ash as adsorbent. Chemical content of boiler ash were determined by using XRF ( X-Ray Fluoresence) and to identified characteristic of boiler ash as adsorbent. Adsorption measure was applied by varying grain size, pH, contact time, temperature and mixing rate.
