Item Fishing Ground and Fish Estimation of Fish Potency of Bengkalis Waters Riau Province(2016-04-02) Rengi, Pareng; Tang, Usman; Siregar, Yusni IkhwanA study on fishing ground and estimation of maximum sustainable yield of fish from Bengkalis waters were conducted during October - November 2012. Environmental condition of the fishing ground were examined and analyzed in-situ as well as exsitu, for physical and chemical properties. The hydroacoustic method (Mitson, 1983) were performed to estimate the presence of fish biomass including pelagic and demersal fish. The fish composition of fish catch were described from fish catch. The proportion of pelagic and demersal fish in coastal waters of Bengkalis approximately 50%-50%. Based on consideration that fishing and natural mortality of 50%, the stock of pelagic fish and demersal revealed 2,1 and 89 tons, respectively. It was suggested that allowed fish catch of pelagic should not exceed 10 pounds/month, providing that fishing period of 12 months. Likewise, the demersal fish should not exceed the amount of 38 pounds/monthItem Growth And Survival Of Selais (Ompok hypopthalmus) Fingerlings Given Bochasi Food(2015-06-11) HS, Nuraini; Mulyadi; Tang, Usman; RusladiThe research was conducted from March until April 2010 at aquaculture technological laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty Universitas of Riau. The aim of reasearch was to know the growth and survival rate of selais fingerling given with bochasi meal. The method was experiment with one factor and four treatments and three replication. The treatment used is P1 (100% smoot bran), P2 (25% quill dirt + 75% smoot bran), P3 (50% smoot bran), P4 (75% quill dirt + 25% smoot bran). Result showed that the best treatment is P4 is with total growth of 2.5 g, food efficiency 34.96% and survival rate 94.44%.Item Sistem Resirkulasi Dengan Menggunakan Filter Yang Berbeda Terhadap Pertumbuhan Benih Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus)(2015-06-11) Mulyadi; Tang, Usman; Yani, Elda SriThe research was conducted at Technology Aquaculture Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty, University of Riau. The purpose of the research was to determine the effect of water filter system that can improve water quality parameters in tilapia fish aquaculture. The research method was experiment with three treatments and three replications. Recirculation system using (P1) coral reef, graves, sand and fiber of palm tree, where a thickness of each filter material was 3 cm. While the recirculation system using aquaponic system (P2) using water spinach and P0 recirculation system using sponge. Treatment of P1 gave the best results of water quality, temperature 25-29 ° C, pH 5-7, DO 4.1-5.3 mg/L, CO2 5.40- 8.90 mg/L, ammonia (NH3) from 0.10- 0.60 mg/L, the average absolute growth rate of 4.50 g, the average length of 7.29 cm and survival rate 100 %.
