Item Pemberian Berbagai Konsentrasi Tepung Biji Jarak Pagar (Jatropha curcas L.) untuk Mengendalikan Hama Rayap (Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren (Isoptera : Rhinotermitidae) di Laboratorium(2013-02-07) Setiawan, Roni; Laoh,J.Hennie; Rustam,RusliTermites (Coptotermes curvignathus L.) is one of the important pests which attack crops, especially in oil palm plantations the newly opened planted on peat. Termites can cause physical damage directly up to 10.8%. During these to control this pest undertaken by farmers is the use of chemical pesticides that can cause damage to the environment and injuries the health of other living organism. Therefore need another tecknologi to control Captotermes curvignathus is the use of Jatropha curcas L which save for environment. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and five replications. The treatments are without starch of Jatropha curcas on 50 gram of saw dust, 5 gram of starch of Jatropha curcas/50 gram of saw dust, 10 gram of starch of Jatropha curcas/50 gram of saw dust, 15 gram of starch of Jatropha curcas/50 gram of saw dust, 20 gram of starch of Jatropha curcas/50 gram of saw dust. Previous research has gained that Jatropha capable to control the Termites pest, so it needs to be done research to make concentration Effective and efficient in termite control. The results of research showed in concentration 5g/50g sawdust more effective in termite pest control , because concentration 5g/50g sawdust can causing value of mortality by 85%.Item Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Rimpang Jeringau (Acorus calamus L.) Untuk Mengendalikan Hama Kutu Daun Myzus persicae Sulzer Pada Tanaman Cabai (Capcicum annum L.)(2013-07-31) M. Al-Hafiz; Rustam,Rusli; Salbiah, DesitaMyzus persicae Sulzer is a major pest in pepper. Therefore, it is needed the alternative control that is safer and environmentally friendly. One of them is botanical insecticide with sweet flag rhizomes. This study aimed to obtain the right concentration of sweet flag rhizome extract (Acorus calamus L.) to control the pests of peach aphids M. persicae Sulzer in pepper plant. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pest and Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) Experimental Farm Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau for 3 months, from February to April 2012. This study has been conducted using a completely randomized design consisted of 6 treatments (some concentration of sweet flag rhizome extract) and 4 replications in order to obtain 24 experimental units. Each trial consisted of 30 individuals M. persicae Sulzer. Data obtained from the observations were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT). The results of some concentrations of sweet flag rhizome extracts (Acorus calamus L.) test towards the aphids M. persicae Sulzer showed that concentrations 50 g/l water of sweet flag rhizome extract (5%) is an appropriate concentration which is in the range of lethal concentration (LC) 95 that is 4,84-20,72% with total mortality 90,83%.Item Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Tepung Buah Sirih Hutan (Pipper aduncum L) Untuk Mengendalikan Hama Kutu Daun Persik Myzus pesicae Sulzer (Homoptera: Aphididae) Pada Tanaman Cabai (Capsicum annuum L.)(2013-02-05) Daud, Ahmad; Rustam,Rusli; Laoh,J. HennieRed pepper (Capsicum annum L.) constitute one of the important vegetable commercially to cultivated in the tropics and have high economic value. Cultivation of chilli in riau have continued increases very fast, but in production of chilli very decrease. One of causes production of chilli decrease is incursion from peach aphids (Myzus persicae) pest. which damage the plant by sucking the liquid in the plant tissue. Effort control this pest still to use synthetic chemical insecticides, but synthetic insecticides can cause negative effects such as pest resistance and pest resurgence. To remember impacts negative of use synthetic insecticides, so I have sought other method solution to control peach aphids pest with safe and effective. With application vegetable insecticides using the fruit betel forest (Piper aduncum L.). The fruit betel forest can to control peach aphids (Myzus persicae) on the chili of plant. This research was conducted at the Pest of Plant Laboratory Faculty Agriculture Riau University Campus Bina Widya in Pekanbaru that lasted for 3 month (February to may). The research was conducted using design random of completely (RAL) method with 5 handling and 5 repetition there SRH0 (without extract flour the fruit betel forest) SRH1 (with extract flour the fruit betel forest 25g/L of water) SRH2 (with extract flour the fruit betel forest 50g/L of water) SRH3 (extract flour the fruit betel forest 75g/L of water) SRH4 (with extract flour the fruit betel forest 100g/L of water). Concentration extract flour the fruit betel forest 75g/L of water is an appropriate concentration in controlling the aphid Myzus persicae pest with the percentage of total mortality by 90% and value LC95 amounted to 7.15%.Item Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Tepung Daun Sirih Hutan (Piper aduncum L.) Untuk Mengendalikan keong Emas (Pomacea sp.) Pada Tanaman padi (Oryzae sativa L. )(2013-02-05) Jaswandi; Rustam,Rusli; Laoh J. HennieRice (Oryzae sativa L.) is one of the main staple food in Indonesia. Given the importance of rice as the main staple food source so any factors that affect the level of production is very important to note. Rice production in the province of Riau year in 2011 – 2012 has decreased production of 53,578 tons to 45,434 tons. One reason is the existence of pest snails, which damages the base of the plant stem. Control efforts undertaken many farmers who use synthetic chemical pesticides, but synthetic pesticides can have negative impacts such as pest resistance, pest resurgence and environmental pollution. Therefore, need another method for controlling snails is to use botanical pesticides are the base ingredients of plant origin that easily obtained as forest betel plant (Piper aduncum L.). This study aims to obtain forest betel leaf starch concentration is good for population control snails (Pomacea sp.) in rice. The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Agribusiness Incubator County Campus Bina Widya, Pekanbaru which lasted for 3 months (July to September). The data analyzed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replicates the SH0 (betel leaf starch concentration woods 0 g/l of water), SH1 (betel leaf starch concentration woods 25 g/l of water), SH2 (concentration forest betel leaf flour 50 g/l of water), SH3 (betel leaf starch concentration woods 75 g/l of water), SH4 (betel leaf starch concentrations forest 100 g/l of water). Application of betel leaf extract powder forests at treatment 100 g/l of water was able to kill the snails pests to 87.50%. Number concentration is still in the range of LC 95 values are from 9.64 to 22.50%. Appropriate concentration to kill 95% of the snails is 16.27% or equivalent 162.7 g/l of water
