Item DEVELOPING INVENTIVE THINKING AND SCIENTIFIC ATTITUDE THROUGH CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING TO FACE 21ST CENTURY EDUCATIONAL CHALLENGE(2014-02-26) Suryawati, Evi; Putria, Iffa Ichwani; Osman, Kamisah; YustinaThis research aims to develop inventive thinking and scientific attitude through contextual teaching and learning of Class XI Science Public Senior High School in Pekanbaru. Samples used in this research are 234 students of class XI Science, selected by stratified random sampling technique that can be seen from the grade of school accreditation (A, B, C). Instruments for data collection use questionnaires and interview. The results showed that the profil of the 21st century skills of Grade XI Science Public Senior High Scholl in Pekanbaru to learn biology from questionnaire obtain an average of 4,0 (Very Good). Result from Anova test shown that there is not significant correlation between achievement and school grade B and C. Otherwise, from that result shown, there are significant correlation between achievement and school grade A, with B and C. From this research we can conclude that student achievement profile is good and it can be developed for all school category. Base on that fact teacher participate very important for developing students skills. Developing of contextual teaching and learning could become student asset facing 21st century educational challengeItem DEVELOPING POSITIVE ATTITUDES TOWARDS ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: CONSTRUCTIVIST APPROACH(2014-02-26) Yustina; Osman, Kamisah; Meerah, Tamby Subahan MohdThis study is aimed to systematically design an environment constructivism module based on constructivism approach and to measure its effectiveness in instilling positive attitudes towards enviroment. This study involves secondary students, from two different schools in Pekanbaru, Riau Indonesia. This quasi-experimental study employs pre and post control group design involving 152 Level Seven students segregated into two; experimental and control groups. Each group is also stratified in terms of students’ cognitive ability (high and low). Throughout intervention process, students in the experimental groups are exposed to environmental constructivism experience using the designed module, while their counterparts in the control groups undergo constructivist and conventional routines. Findings generated from this study proved that there is no relationship between the students’ groups and constructivism approach with attitudes towards environmental management. However, it has shown that constructivism approach can increase positive attitude towards environmental management.Item Effectiveness Of The Use Of E-Learning Portal Of Biomind To Improve Motivation And Overcoming Misconception Of Student(2015-01-20) Febrianto, Rian; Osman, Kamisah; Yuanita, Putri; Suasty, FebniProfessional teachers are required to have an expertise in teaching and learning in line with the demands of the rapidly changing times and uncertain. To support good teacing and learning process , is not only determined by an educator but also the methods and media used in teaching and learning. Biology is a lesson that has a lot of concepts and requires a good understanding. Rather than the document data analysis and _field o stdent learning outcomes and motivation is still not up to expectations. especiaa of course the motion and circulatory system that requires an understanding and analysis as well as high -level synthesis. This study aims to improve motivation and overcome misconceptions of students at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru with use of teaching Media portals based on problem based learning (PBL). From the research, it was found that the results of the action rsearch of First Cycle (SP) for motivation in this study were distributed over sub motivtion namely interest with a mean 4,0 (high) , with a mean Perception 4,16 (high) , and the mean usability 4,12 (high) . Motivate in the Second Cycle (SK) showed that the mean of interest 4;11 (high), Perception 4,18 (high), and usability 4,27 (high) . For further understanding of the concept of students in the _first cycle obtained a mean 8,83 (completed) while in the second cycle obtained mean 8,40 (completed) . From these results it can be concluded that by using of learning portal of BIOMIND based on PBL can increase motivation and overcome misconceptions students . Dalam era teknologi canggih seperti sekarang ini multimedia interaktif mempunyai potensi yang sangat besar untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kajian ini berfokus pada teori dan aplikasi praktis pembelajaran lingkungan. Sistem multimedia ini berisikan: ekosistem, keanekaragaman mahkluk hidup dalam pelestarian ekosistem ( hewan dan tumbuhan langka), kepadatan populasi manusia hubungannya dengan lingkungan dan pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan. Dimana informasi lingkungan dan peranan manusia digabungkan dalam rangka untuk membuka pandangan dan sikap pelajar untuk untuk memahami masalah lingkungan. Banyak orang yang berpikir bahwa lingkungan merupakan bidang yang akan selalu berhubungan dengan kehidupan manusia dan mempunyai hubungan yang sangat erat. Oleh karena itu, banyak buku dan kertas kerja mengenai masalah lingkungan ini. Namun, masih sedikit pembelajaran berasaskan multimedia interaktif lingkungan (MIL) untuk pelajar sekolah menengah pertama. Jadi kami merancang MIL sederhana, bervariasi, menarik dan cukup jelas untuk pelajar. Sitem MIL ini terintegrasi suara dan efek cahaya yang didasarkan pada konsep pembelajaran interaktif. Menyediakan simulasi fakta dan konten pembelajaran dibangun secara efesien. Dalam kajian ini, kami telah mengembangkan sistem pembelajaran lingkungan yang berasaskan alam sekitar guna memupuk sikap dan amalan pelajar terhadap lingkungan. Pada umumnya pembelajaran IPA di sekolah menengah pertama berfokus pada produk ilmu pengetahuan dan prosesnya beserta penanaman sikap ilmiah. Fakta yang didapatkan dilapangan bahwa terjadi kesenjangan antara tiori dan implikasi dalam kehidupan keseharian semakin besar lebar, sehingga kesadaran dan kelestarian lingkungan rendah. Maka diperlukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan alam sekitar dapat membantu guru dan pelajar dalam mempelajari dan memahami keadaan yang sebenarnya di luar kelas maupun di dalam kelas dengan menghadapkan para pelajar kepada alam sekitar yang faktual dan aktual untuk dipelajari dan diamati dalam hubungannya dengan proses belajar dan mengajar. Dalam kajian ini diharapkan dapat membantu memberikan pemahaman kepada pelajar dan membentuk proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada pelajar sehingga pelajar dapat mengamalkan kehidupan yang ramah terhadap lingkungan dan menjaga kelestariannya.
