Item Effect of Dietary Protein Level on the Reproductive Performance of Female of Green Catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus Bagridae )(2018-02-13) Aryani, Netti; Indra, SuharmanA study to determine the effect of increasing levels of dietary protein on green catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus), was carried out. Four isocaloric semi-purified diets containing 20%, 27%, 32%, and 37% dietary protein were used. Broodstock performance was evaluated based on growth parameters, reproductive parameters, and larvae production of female broodstock. Results showed that while the 20%, 27%, 32% and 37% protein produced the lowest specific growth rate (SGR) values, there was significant difference between 20%, 27%, 32% and 37% dietary treatments. The 20% dietary treatment also displayed longest time matured gonads and lowest of somatic ovi index and relative fecundity. Larvae production was highest from females fed with 32% and 37% protein, followed by the 27% protein while the diet containing 20% protein produced lowest number of larvae. Based on our results, we suggest that a minimum of 32% protein be included in the diet of female green catfish broodstockItem Effects Of 17ß-Estradiol On The Reproduction Of Green Catfish (Hemibagrus Nemurus, Bagridae)(2018-02-13) Aryani, Netti; Indra, SuharmanThe aim the research is to increase the reproductive potential of H.nemerus female that is time matured gonads, somatic ovi index, fecundity, egg diameter, hatching rate and time to hatching in the control group (injection 0.9 NaCl) and exposed to 200 μg/kg, 400 μg/kg, 600 μg/kg body weight of 17ß-estradiol. Treatment of 17ß-estradiol levels were significant (p<0.05) different with respect to time ripe gonads, ovi somatic index, fecundity and egg diameter. Females exposed to 400 μg/kg body weight of 17ß-estradiol can increased time matured gonads 28 days, somatic ovi index 10.32%, absolute fecundity 63,724 egss/spaw, relatif fecundity 90 eggs/ g gonado weight and egg diameter 1.22 mm. But hatching rate and time to hatching did not differ between the treatments (p>0,05)Item Length-weight relationship and condition factor of the critically endangered fish of Geso, Hemibagrus wyckii (Bleeker, 1858) bagridae from Kampar Kanan River, Indonesia(2018-02-13) Aryani, Netti; Indra, Suharman; Hasibuan, SaberinaThe studies on length-weight relationships (LWR) and condition factors (K) of Geso (Hemibagrus wyckii, Bleeker, 1858, Bagridae) in Kampar Kanan River, Riau, Indonesia was conducted from February to September 2015. A total of 99 specimens were collected from different sample stations using different types of trapsnets and fishing pole. The pooled length–weight regression equation (Log W = - 6.1510+3.4536 TL, r = 0.936), and also the length-weight equations of males, females and juveniles (Log W = -4.2274+2.6646 log TL (r=0.94), Log W = -3.4342 + 2.4225 log TL (r = 0.931) and Log W = - 2.1968 + 3.0405 log TL (r = 0.913) respectively), indicate positive correlation between length and weight in H.wyckii. The mean values condition factor were ranged from 0.692±0.06 to 2.496±0.29, variations in the condition factor were found to be influenced by the gonadal maturity and spawning seasonItem Morphological Characterization Of Baung Fish (Hemibagrus Nemurus) Aquatic Habitat On The Different Method Based Truss Morfometrics(2018-02-13) Aryani, Netti; Nuraini, Nuraini; Indra, SuharmanResearch morphometric characters of H. nemurus conducted in 2012 in the waters of Koto Panjang Reservoir Kampar Regency, the waters of Kampar River Langgam Village Kampar Regency and Kampar River Kampung Baru Village Pelalawan Regency Riau Province. The purpose of research is to analyze the morphometric characters, the main differentiating factor, determination of inter grouping of H. nemurus populations. Results showed that the average length of H. nemurus population standard Koto Panjang Reservoir Kampar Regency 281.33 ± 27.08 mm significantly different with populations Kampar river waters Langgam Village Kampar Regency 318.03 ± 32.07 mm and the water Kampar River Kampung Baru Village Pelalawan Regency 320.80 ± 32.03 mm. The main differentiator of 30 morphometric charac-ters are long dorsal truss2 (G2) and long dorsal truss3 (G3) with a value of 0.940 respectively. H. nemurus populations are geographically sepa-rated from each habitat and genetic distance H. nemurus populations in waters Langgam village closer with a population of Kampung Baru village.Item Reproductive Performance of Asian Catfish (Hemibagrus wyckii, Bleeker, 1858)-Preliminary Study(2018-02-13) Aryani, Netti; Indra, Suharman; Mardiah, Ainul; Syandri, HafrijalFeed level is an important factor that affects oocyte maturation of female Hemibagrus wyckii broodstock. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of different feed levels (700, 1,400 and 2,100 g lokan meat per day) on the reproductive performance of female broodfish (initial weight: 2.800±296 g and initial length: 353.2±55.5 mm). Materials and Methods: Four experimental and three replicate ponds were used to evaluate the reproductive performance of female broodfish. Broodfish fed formulated feed was used as a control. Five female broodfish were cultured in each pond. Female broodfish were fed lokan meat once a day at 17.00 pm during 120 days of the experiments. Results: The nutritional content of lokan meat (wet base) were 7.08% crude protein, 0.82% crude lipid, 2.44% carbohydrate, 0.29% crude ash and 89.37% moisture content. Feed levels significantly (p<0.05) affected final weight, oocyte maturation, egg size, percentage of ovulation, number of egg per spawn, percentage of egg weight and embryo survival. Conclusion: Feed with 2,100 g lokan meat per day provided the best result for reproductive performance of female Hemibagrus wyckii broodfish.
