Lazim N, M.Pd3 Abstract The background of this research are: (1) students are silent during the learning process takes place, even though they do not understand the material being studied (2 )some students have little accountability, such as not making the task and did not collect homework ruled teachers and (3)some students do not follow the lesson seriously, as told by friends bench when teachers deliver instructional material. This study aims to improve the students' outcomes in learning mathematics at the Fifth grade of SDN 136 Pekanbaru by applying guided inquiry learning model. Formulation of the problem of this study is whether the application of guided inquiry learning model can students’ outcome in learning mathematic in the fifth grade students of SDN 136 V Pekanbaru. Data collected through observation using the observation sheet to the data model guided inquiry learning through UH I and II for learning outcomes data. The research results conclusions as the following. Teacher ‘s activity increased each meeting with average of all the meetings in the first cycle was 73.21%, while the average of all the meetings in the second cycle was 87.50%, with 14.29% increase in the. Student activity increased every meeting at every cycle with an average of all the meetings in the first cycle was 67.85%, while the average of all the meetings in the second cycle was 83.93%, with an increase in the 16:08%. The application of guided inquiry learning model can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics in grade V SDN 136 Pekanbaru TP.2012/2013 the learning outcomes on the basis of scores with an average of 52.25 in the classical incomplete, The first cycle showed learning outcomes 76.00 incomplete classically, while learning outcomes in second cycle earned an average 85.25 classically been completed. The results that the application of guided inquiry learning model to improve student learning outcomes.
