Item PENGARUH PASANGAN CALON WALIKOTA DAN WAKIL WALIKOTA TERHADAP PUBLIKASI MEDIA MASSA PADA PEMILUKADA KOTA PEKANBARU(2014-05-05) Hipendri, AndikaThis research was conducted to analyze how the influence candidate of mayor and vice of mayor towards the mass media publications in Pekanbaru City election. Significant role of mass media in moving public opinion in Pekanbaru City election 2011 years ago where there are some mass media that allegedly siding with each pair of candidates who competed at the Pekanbaru City election. The problem in this study is how the candidate mayor and deputy mayor of the publications in the mass media election Pekanbaru? This study is a qualitative research, the data collection techniques in this research is a descriptive analysis. This research uses documentation (observation) and interviews with key informants as information objects that aim to achieve the goal in order to get information in this research. Data used in this research is primary data and secondary data obtained through direct observation and interviews with key informants in this study. Alignments media (Koran Riau and Riau Pos) on one candidate looks pretty clear in every news that they publish. This is evident from the reports in the early days of the campaign until revote, during the conduct of the general election be obvious if the Riau Pos tends to show his hand to the BERSERI, while the daily Koran Riau couples tend to show his hand to the PAS. Alignments media (Koran Riau and Riau Pos) to one candidate (BERSERI and PAS) can not be separated from the political and economic influence. Help the local budget and advertising contracts worth hundreds of million rupiah of government make media no longer be neutral as it should. It is inevitable that in order to survive the mass media also requires the government, however, because it is difficult for the media to survive only rely on circulation sales only, especially for the size of the area local media. So, like it or not the media should follow "the rules" in order to exist and survive.
