Item Effect of ovaprim and prostaglandine F2α on semen volume and sperm quality in Sepat siam (Trichogaster pectoralis Regan)(2016-04-02) Sukendi, Sukendi; Putra, Ridwan Manda; Heltonika, BennyThe effects of ovaprim and prostaglandine F2α (PG F2α) on semen volume and sperm quality in sepat siam (Trichogaster pectoralis Regan) were observed. Eighteen wild cought male fishes were injected with three combinations of ovaprim and prostaglandine F2α (0,250 ml ovaprim + 1250 μg PG F2α/kg body weight, P1), 0,375 ml ovaprim + 625 μg PGF2α /kg body weight, P2), 0,125 ml ovaprim + 1875 μg PG F2α/kg body weight, P3), and two other individual hormones, ovaprim ( 0,50 ml ovaprim/kg body weight, P4) and PG F2α (2500 μg PG F2α/kg body weight, P5), and control (1 ml NaCl 0.9%, P6). The best result was presented by the combination of 0.250 ml ovaprim + 1250 μg prostaglandine F2α per kg body weight (P1), which the semen volume, spermatozoa concentration, spermatozoa viability and spermatozoa motility were 0.163 ml, 18.167 x 109/ml, 81.50% and 79.833 % respectively.Item The Growth Of Motan (Thynnicthys Thynnoides) With Different Rearing And Stocking(2016-04-11) Sukendi, Sukendi; Putra, Ridwam Manda; Heltonika, BennyThe research was aimed to determined the growth and survival rate of Motan fish (Thynnicthys thynnoides) were rearing in cages with different stockings and locations. The treatments stocking used 40, 50, and 60 fishs/cage with a size 1 x 1 x 1 m. It was conducted on May to October 2010, while the located of rearing was in Kampar river and ponds of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. Results of this studiy was showed that the best growth was rearing in the cage with stocking 50 fishs/cage on Kampar river, the growth in the absolute weight of 8,61 grams, the growth of the absolute length of 2,34 cm, the daily weight growth rate of 0,5445 %, the daily length growth rate of 0,1750 % and the survival rate 100 %.The research was aimed to determined the growth and survival rate of Motan fish (Thynnicthys thynnoides) were rearing in cages with different stockings and locations. The research was conducted in Sungai Tohor Village, Tebing Tinggi Timur Subdistrict, Meranti Islands Regency. Procedure of research activity is done by way of peat water coming from canal pumped by multilevel filtering. Water filtration by drum stratum is intended with macro and micro filtration separation, macro filtering using only ijuk and burlap sack. While microscreening using layers of krikil, sand and charcoal, and the provision of lime tohor. The results showed that there was a change (increase) to pH value from 3.7 to 5.4; Dissolved CO2 decreased from 31.9 to 24.6 mg /l, dissolved DO increased from 3.92 to 4.09 mg /l, TSS decreased from 82.5 to 4.5 mg /l, increased brightness from 64.5 to 68.2 cm and the temperature rises from 27.9 to 30.1 °C and there is growth and multiplication of microalgae on the surface of water. From the experimental maintenance of catfish dumbo done, generally not possible to survive, because the still high dissolved CO2 which is toxic to fish and pH that still needs to be improved again. Need further research on the technique of reducing the dissolved CO2 value and increasing the pH value, thus reaching the recommended threshold point for fish farming. For fish cultivation activities from the results of this study only allows to cultivate the local fishes only.Item Morphoanatomical and Histological Changing During The Developmental Stages of Ompok hypopthalmus Ovary(2016-08-28) Windarti, Windarti; Sukendi, Sukendi; Heltonika, BennyDuring the gonadal maturity process, changes are occured in the morphological and anatomical characters of fish ovary. This study aims to understand the morphoanatomical changes as the ovary of Ompok hypopthalmus develop. The fish were captured from the Kampar River. Fish that were in 2nd, 3rd and 4th maturity levels were studied directly. Morphological and anatomical characteristics of the liver, gonad and viscera were then described. Results shown that the GSI increase as the gonad developed, from 1.5529 in the 3rd maturity stage into 7.0616 in the 4th maturity stage. The VSI and HSI, however, are fluctuated, it peaked in the 3rd maturity stage (4.3479 and 1.2558 respectively) and decrease in the 4th maturity stage (2.8352 and 1.0648 respectively), indicating that the energy stored has been allocated for gamet development. Moreover the color of the liver in the 2nd and 3rd maturity stage fishes were relatively pale than that of the 4rd maturity stage fishes, indicated that part of the stored fat in the liver has been allocated for gonad development.Item Pemeliharaan Benih Ikan Baung (Hemibagrus Nemurus) Dengan Teknologi Photoperiod(2016-12-13) Heltonika, Benny; NurasiahDalam budidaya perairan, ketersediaan benih yang berkualitas menjadi hal yang penting. Salah satu ikan khas dari provinsi Riau adalah ikan baung, ikan ini sudah dibudidayakan di beberapa tempat di propinsi Riau, namun yang menjadi kendala bagi masyarakat pembenih ikan baung adalah masih minimnya benih yang dihasilkan serta perkembangan benih yang belum optimal jika dibandingkan dengan benih ikan patin, selain itu permasalahan tingginya tingkat kanibal (memakan sesama) pada benih ikan baung cukup tinggi, ini juga menjadi kendala. Dari beberapa hasil kajian, pada ikan nocturnal (aktif di malam hari), photoperiod menjadi salah satu solusi dalam memecah permasalahan ini, pada ikan selais yang dipelihara pada kondisi dominan gelap memberikan pertumbuhan yang lebih cepat dibandingkan kondisi nrmal, dan tingkat agresifitas terhadap pakan juga lebih baik (Windarti dan Heltonika, 2015). Mustapha et al. (2012) mengungkapkan larva ikan lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus) yang dipelihara pada kondisi photoperiod dimana dipelihara dalam kondisi gelap 24 jam sehari memberikan pertumbuhan yang terbaik. Hal serupa juga diungkapkan Solomon dan Okomoda (2012) bahwa ikan lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus) yang dipelihara pada kondisi 24 jam gelap memberikan tingkat kelulushidupan yang terbaik, tingkat kerusakan tubuh akibat gigitan/kanibalisme tidak ditemukan, pertumbuhan lebih cepat dan konversi pakan lebih baik. Berdasarkan hal di atas, perlu dilakukan kajian bagaimana pengaruh photoperiod terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan benih ikan baung. Metoda yang digunakan berupa ekperimen dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, perlakuan yang digunakan berupa pemeliharaan benih ikan baung dengan pola photoperiod (pencahayaan) yang berbeda, yaitu dengan lama waktu pencahayaan 24 jam terang perhari (D0 : L24), 12 jam terang dan 12 jam gelap (D12 : L12) serta kondisi gelap 24 jam perhari (D24 : L0). Prosedur penelitian berupa penyiapan wadah yang terkontrol dan tertutup, dengan pemberian cahaya dengan lampu 16 watt dengan dilengkapi timer sebagai pengontrol waktu hidup lampu. Hasil dari kajian yang dilakukan, menunjukkan jika aplikasi potoperiod memiliki pengaruh yang cukup signifikan dalam memacu pertumbuhan larva ikan baung, dimana dengan pemeliharaan dalam kondisi gelap total, memberikan angka pertumbuhan panjang dan bobot yang terbaik. Karena ikan baung merupakan ikan nocturnal (aktif di malam hari), maka kondisi gelap merupakan rekomendasi kondisi pemeliharaan bagi larva ikan baung.Item Teknologi Reproduksi Ikan Rawa(2015-05-04) Sukendi, Sukendi; Aryani, Netty; Alawi, Hamdan; Heltonika, BennyThe aim the research is to increase the reproductive potential of A. testudineus) female that gonad maturity level(TKG), Gonad Maturation Indeks (IKG), Fecundity end Egg Diameter, in the control group (feed without enrichment of vitamin E) and exposed to 150mg/kg, 300 mg/kg, 450mg/kg feed of vitamin E. Treatment of vitamin E levels were different gonad maturity level, gonad maturation indek, fecundity but egg diameter not differ. Females exposed to 300 mg/kg feed of vitamin E total fish reached TKG IV 72,22 % , Gonad Maturation Indeks 10,12 fecundity 5.114 egss and egg diameter 0,72 mm
