Chiller type is also a solution for the efficient use of electrical energy due to the number of units in operation can adjust to the heat load generated by the building. Heat load tends to fluctuate depending on the amount of space used, the number of electronic tools are used, the number of people in activity, and other heat load factors. Chiller is operated at setting temperature 6oC. The analysis showed that the actual cooling capacity (QL) in the evaporator, the actual compressor power (Wk) and the actual waste heat capacity (QH) in the condenser respectively are 357.5 kW to the total 845 kW cooling capacity availability, 66.1 kW to the total 157 kW of power compressor, and 423.6 kW to the total 1002 kW of the potential heat rejected by condenser, with COP of the chiller is 5.4. Cooling capacity provided 57.7% greater than the total cooling capacity actual, so it is more than enough to meet the overall cooling load at the Y hotel, to obtain the appropriate thermal comfort standard by SNI 03-6572-2001.Item Potensi Pemanfaatan Energi Panas Terbuang Pada Kondensor Ac Sentral Untuk Pemanas Air Hemat Energi(2016-04-16) Aziz, Azridjal; Harianto, Joko; Mainil, Afdhal KurniawanCentral air conditioning is one type of refrigeration machine that is widely used in large or multi-storey buildings such as offices, hotels or shopping malls. Waste heat energy from the condenser of refrigeration machine is generally rejected as useless energy. Actually, this thermal energy can be utilized for energy-efficient water heater, as a source of energy obtained for free from the condenser waste heat energy. To determine the wasted heat energy that can be used for the water heater, it is necessary to count the heating potential. The calculation and analysis of data obtained showed that the energy potential of waste heat in the condenser that can be used as a water heater is equal to 228.318 kW with a maximum condenser inlet temperature is 57.78 °C.
