Item Kearifan Lokal Masyarakat Kampar Kiri Hulu Dalam Mengelola Daerah Aliran Sungai Secara Berkelanjutan(wahyu sari yeni, 2018-09-19) Firdaus, Firdaus; Elfis, ElfisWatershed is an ecosystem unity that is limited by topographical separators and serves as collecting, storing and distributing water, sediments, and nutrients through river systems. Integrated watershed ecosystem conservation is a strategic effort in the context of sustainable watershed management. This limited thinking and observation paper focuses on reviewing the local wisdom of Kampar Kiri Hulu Watershed, Riau Province. Most of these analyzes use library research methods. The rest is based on limited field observation in the field of study (field observation), limited interviews with figures of Indigenous Peoples, and personal communication with Local Wisdom Experts. The compiled data are presented and discussed both descriptively and qualitatively. The result of the analysis shows that Lubuk Larangan and Rimbo Larangan are two forms of Local Wisdom of Kampar Kiri Hulu River Basin which have original values and in line with the paradigm of sustainable watershed development, both social dimension, environment and economics. There needs to be an effort to revitalize the original value of local wisdom from the perspective of cultural defense through empowering social capital of Kampar Kiri Hulu community so as not to be eroded by the acceleration of rural-based development policy and the urge of the globalization of the village
