Recording and reporting of cancer is one way to determine the prevalence of cancer. This study is to determine the prevalence of primary organ malignancy by histophatology in Arifin Achmad General Hospital Center Pekanbaru period January-December 2013. The result of this study indicate that most primary malignancy in organ found in breast on woman and nasopharyngeal in second range of man. With total cases of malignancy 139 for breast cancer and 37 for nasopharyngeal cancer.Item GAMBARAN PEMERIKSAAN INPEKSI VISUAL ASETAT SEBAGAI DETEKSI LESI PRAKANKER SERVIKS DI HOTSPOT JALAN TUANKU TAMBUSAI KECAMATAN SUKAJADI PEKANBARU(2014-02-25) Novri, Dhini Aiyulie; Sofian, Amru; Fidiawati, Wiwit AdeCervical cancer is the third most frequent cancer in women in Indonesia. Indirect female sex worker are in high risk for having cervical cancer. World Health Organization had recommended an alternative approach for developing countries with down staging concept of cervical malignancy with visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) to detect cervical precancerous lesion. This research was carried out at hotspot Tuanku Tambusai Street, Pekanbaru aimed to describe the characteritics of respondent and to detect displastic cervical epithelial cells with VIA. The result showed from 31 indirect female sex worker, 52 % were diagnosed with positive acetowhite appereance (positive VIA). Indirect female sex worker are at increased risk for hence cervical cancer . This research was carried out at hotsspot Jalan TuankuTambusai, Kecamatan Sukajadi Pekanbaru aimed to describe the characteristics of respondent and the cervical smear result. The result showed from 31 indirect female sex worker , 3,2% were diagnose with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), 19,4% with high grade squamous intraephitelial lesion (HSIL), 16,1% with low grade squamous intraephitelial lesion (LSIL), 6,5% with atypical squamous cell undetermined significance (ASCUS), 38,7% with negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy (Bacterial vaginosis, Trichomonas vaginalis, Candidiasis presents) and 16,1% were normal result.. The conclusion of the study that abnormal smears of indirect female sex worker at hotspot Jalan Tuanku Tambusai Kecamatan Sukajadi Pekanbaru and high risk of cervical smear should be referred for further follow up.
