Item The Effect Of Turmeric Stew Toward Glucose Blood Level Of Diabetes Mellitus Clients(2015-06-19) Dewi, Ari Pristiana; HerlinaDiabetes Mellitus has become a public health problem which is steadily increasing from year to year in Indonesia. Increased prevalence of diabetes occurs because of the effects of unhealthy lifestyles and diets. Diabetes Mellitus has a poor prognosis if it is not treated immediately. It can lead to worse complications. One way of controlling diabetes that patients maintain their quality of life is done with non-pharmacological therapy, namely turmeric therapy. This study aimed to determine the effect of turmeric stew of therapy on blood sugar level of DM patients. The study design was quasy experiment with non-equivalent control group design. Respondents are divided into 2 groups, 16 for experimental group and 16 for control group (total sample: 32 respondents). The experimental group took turmeric stew once in a day for 7 days consecutively. Univariate analysis is used to describe characteristics of respondents and bivariate is used paired and pooled t-test. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (75%), elderly (81.4%), high school education (46.8%), ethnic Minang (78.2%), and a housewife (56, 2%). The results of the bivariate analysis showed a difference in mean blood glucose levels between before and after the treatment in the experimental group (p value 0.00). Mean while, there was no difference in mean blood glucose level were between the experimental group and the control group (p value 0.051). It is suggested to health public centers to introduce herbal development program such as turmeric stew for DM clients in the communityItem Health Maintenance Behavior And The Incidence Of Illnesses In Families Living In Rural And Urban Areas Of Pekanbaru(2016-01-09) Sabrian, Febriana; Dewi, Ari PristianaHealth maintenance behavior in the family will contribute to public health because the family is a part or subsystem of society. One factor that influences the health maintenance behavior is environmental factor whereas the characteristics of different residential areas will give an impact on the health behavior of the family. This study aims to identify the health maintenance behavior and incidence of illnesses in families living in urban and rural areas of Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive design involving 600 families, 300 families residing in the urban area and 300 families residing in rural areas of Pekanbaru. Samples were taken using quota sampling technique. Researchers collected data bay using questionnaires. The results shows he health maintenance behavior are mostly performed by the family residing in rural areas compared to urban Pekanbaru, except in the habit of doing physical activity with percentages of urban and rural are 58.7% and 28.4%. Comparison of the percentage of families who do not smoke at home in the rural and urban areas is 72.1% and 42.7%. Comparison of the percentage of families in rural and urban areas for children immunization, nutritious foods consumption and regular health examination are 64% and 59%; 92.8% and 65%; 85.8% and 78.3%. Health maintenance behavior in the family is linear with the incidence of illnesses in the family whereas the incidence of illnesses in urban households is higher than the percentage of rural households with 76.7% and 50.5%. Based on the results, it is recommended to community nurses to make efforts to promote family health maintenance behavior, especially on aspects that require improvement through health education activities in order to increase the motivation of the family in maintaining good health.Item Implementation Of Peer Education Method In Prevention Of Pre-Marital Sexual Behavior In Adolescents(2015-06-18) Dewi, Ari Pristiana; Wiarsih, WiwinAdolescents have a potential period to face global competition. Peer education is empowerment program of peers to provide information and knowledge for adolescent health. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of peer education on adolescent premarital sexual behavior. The study was conducted in the Pasir Gunung Selatan Village, West Java. The study was quasiexperimental with one group (pretest-posttest) design. The respondents were 32 adolescents. The results showed that majority of the respondents were in the middle age stage (15-17 years) and (55.5%) of the respondents were male. Bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the average adolescent premarital sexual behavior before and after the implementation of peer education (ρ<0.05). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas prornosi kesehatan dengan rnenggunakan metode pendidikan kesehatan individual terhadap peningkatan perilaku pencegahan penyakit TB Paru. Metode penelitian ini rnenggunakan desain quasi experimental desgn dengan model pretest-posttest design with control group dengan penerapan pendidikan kesehatan individual. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Sidomulyo Barat terhadap 34 responden, yaitu l7 kelompok eksperimen dan 17 kelompok kontrol. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah kuesioner mengenai perilaku pencegahan penyakit TB Paru yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti. Analisa yang digunakan adalah, analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan uji dependent test dan independent test. hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan secara bermakna terhadap perilaku pencegahan penyakit TB Paru setelah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan individual (p value= 0,000;a= 0,05).Diharapkan petugas kesehatan Puskesmas khususnya perawat kesehatan masyarakat (PERKESMAS) untuk dapat melakukan kegiatan promotif khususnya penyuluhan kesehatan secara individual karena dapat meningkatkan perilaku pencegahan penyakit TB paru di keluarga.Item Relationship Between Aged And Frequency Of Dating And Sexual Behavior Of Adolescent In Pekanbaru(2016-01-12) Taufik, Hendra; Dewi, Ari Pristiana; HerlinaDating is a relationship between male and female where the presence of a mutual feeling in love or a heterosexual relationship in which both are recognize as soulmate and interdependence. Adolescents who have a sense of comfort dating will strive to meet the needs of partners, including adolescent sexual behavior. The purpose of this study was determined the relationship between age and frequencyof dating and adolescent sexual behavior. The study design was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach, and a sample are 180 dating adolescents. Data was collected by quessionare sheet. The results showed that no significant relationship between age and frequency of datingand adolescent sexual behavior (p = 0.486; p = 0.592> 0.05). Method: This is a descriptive correlational study that was conducted in Pekanbaru City.This study involved 86 elders with hypertension that were recruited using a purposive sampling technique. Data onsociodemographic characteristics of the elderly with hypertension were obtained by using questionnairesand cognitive function data were obtained by using MMSE (Mini-Mental Status Examination). Result: The Chi-square test showed asignificant relationship between gender, educational level, marital status, employment status with thecognitive function of the elders (p- value < 0.05). Conclusion: The condition of the cognitive function of the elderly can be influenced by the sociodemographic characteristics of the elderly, such as gender, education, employment status, and marital status
