Item Cardiovascular Diseases – A Cause To Worry In Indonesia(2015-08-10) Suyanto; Burhanuddin, Laode; Azrin, MiftahCardiovascular diseases (CVDs), diseases caused by disorders of the heart and blood vessels, have been associated with changes in peoples’ lifestyles due to the improving economy. In Indonesia, the prevalence tends to increase recently following the improving of national economic development. In controlling CVD, Indonesian Government particularly Ministry of Health have launched CVD control programme including primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. However, this policy should be disseminated to people. Thus, the general public is more health conscious.Item Correlation between Iron Intake and Hemoglobin Concentration of Vegetarian Adolescent Community in Pekanbaru(2015-08-08) Suyanto; Pardede, Imelda; Amalia, Dina Rizki; Burhanuddin, Laode; Azrin, Miftah; Suryani, FitriVegetarians have relatively low intake of microminerals, such as iron. Iron requirement will increase in adolescent period. Iron is one of the important component of red blood cell formation. The objective of this study is to determine the correlation between iron intake and hemoglobin concentration of vegetarian adolescent community in Pekanbaru. This study was an analytical research with crosssectional approach of all vegetarians adolescent who were members of Indonesian Vegetarian Society (IVS) Pekanbaru which age was 10-19 years old and qualified that conducted in September through October 2010 amount 30 respondents. Semiquantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) was used as a parameter for iron intake and used sianmethemoglobin methods to examine hemoglobin concentration by spectrophotometer. The average of iron intake for girl was 12.7 mg/day and for boy was 14.0 mg/day and the average of hemoglobin concentration for girl was 11.3 g/dL and for boy was 11.6 g/dL. Pearson test between iron intake and hemoglobin concentration showed r = 0.372; p = 0.043 and r2 was 0,138 means iron intake influence hemoglobin concentration about 13,8% in this research. There was a significant weak positive degree correlation between iron intake and hemoglobin concentration of vegetarian adolescent community in Pekanbaru.Item Distribusi Keganasan Organ Primer berdasarkan pemeriksaan PA di RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekabaru 2013(2015-04-22) Burhanuddin, Laode; Fidiawati, Wiwit Ade; Hakim, LukmanMalignancy is a diseases that can cause death. Recording and reporting of cancer is one way to determine the prevalence of cancer. This study is to determine the prevalence of primary organ malignancy by histophatology in Arifin Achmad General Hospital Center Pekanbaru period January-December 2013. The result of this study indicate that most primary malignancy in organ found in breast on woman and nasopharyngeal in second range of man. Until now, data is accurate incidence of cancer in Indonesia is not yet available.1,2,3 The Research of which have been collected by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), an estimated incidence of cancer worldwide in 2000 amounted to 10.1 million.4 In the same year 6.2 million people died of cancer and 22.4 million people live suffer kanker.1 This means that the incidence and mortality of each rose 19% and 18% compared to 1990.5 In 2008 there were an estimated 12.4 million life of cancer patients worldwide and 7.6 million people died of cancer.6covers all ages, from children to senior citizens. However, cancer is more common in adults and advanced age.7 Incidence and mortality of cancer will continue to increase if no earnest efforts of each country to eradiceted. 8 Wildfire can induce an unhealthy smoke for human, especially lung health state. Based on the data recovered from the various writings, so we try to do research by comparing the results of research in the city of Pekanbaru. By taking 211 samples of Secondary school found that the source of knowledge about drugs is of counseling at school as much as 100%. Based on data from BNN city of Pekanbaru in 2014 found that the majority of drug users are at the age <30 years with 226 cases of the 327 cases. Drug users are already starting age <15 years with the discovery of four cases. Based on the characteristics of respondents source of knowledge about many drugs obtained through counseling at the place of education.
