Item ANALISIS KALSIUM, MAGNESIUM DAN SULFAT PADA SEDIMEN KOLAM INSTALASI PENGOLAHAN AIR LIMBAH (IPAL) TPA MUARA FAJAR PEKANBARU(2014-03-27) yeni, Irma; Itnawita; Bali, S.The sediment of ponds at Muara Fajar is possible to contain organic and anorganic compounds derived from the decomposition of waste, which can be used as organic fertilizer. This study was carried out to analyze the concentration of Ca, Mg, and SO42- by complexometry method and spectrophotometry. The results showed various concentration of the Ca, Mg and SO42- at each ponds. The highest concentrations of Ca and Mg were found in the sedimen of first pond ( 0.05-0.2% ), whereas the highest concentration of SO42- was detected in the sediment of third pond (0.8 – 0.9%)Item ANALISIS KANDUNGAN LOGAM BERAT Cd, Pb, DAN Mn PADA SEDIMEN KOLAM TPA MUARA FAJAR PEKANBARU(2014-03-27) Panjaitan, H.; Bali, S.; Hanifah, T. A.The concentration of three heavy metals (Cd, Pb, and Mn) had been known in TPA ponds sediment Muara Fajar Pekanbaru. Pond sediment samples were taken of four TPA ponds in pre-monsoon season (June 7, 2013) and brought to laboratorium for analyzing. Determination of the concentration of heavy metal Pb and Cd was done using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry, and determination of the concentration of heavy metals Mn was performed by Persulfat Kolorimetri. Results of heavy metal analysis in the TPA ponds sediment are as follows: Cd: 0-0,0003 mg/g; Pb: 0,0104-0,0150 mg/g; and Mn: 0,3077-0,8928 mg/g. To assess metal contamination in the TPA ponds sediment, USEPA (United Stated Enviromental Protection Agency) guidelines were applied. Based on the guidelines, TPA ponds sediment was unpolluted of heavy metal Cd and Pb. Metal that potential as pollutant is Mn in every TPA ponds. In general all TPA ponds sediment have been polluted and need to be investigated furtherItem ANALISIS SENG(Zn), KROM (Cr) DAN KOBAL (Co) PADA SEDIMEN KOLAM INSTALASI PENGOLAHAN AIR LIMBAH (IPAL) TPA MUARA FAJAR PEKANBARU(2013-07-20) Zulkarnain; Bali, S.; Hanifah, T. A.The advantages of sediment that formed by leachate water precipitation n waste reservoir ponds could be determined through analysis of metal content which ere obtained from decomposition process of garbage piles. The sediment samples were, collected from TPA Muara Fajar Rumbai-Pekanbaru, from four ponds and eight sampling points were then choosen from each pond. All samples were destructed by adding nitric acid (HNO3 1:1) and chloride acid (HCl 1:1), to analyze the content of heavy metals, and then measured by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer for Cr content, atomic absorption spectrophotometer was used for Co and Zn content. Our results showed that four samples contained Cr and Zn with different concentrations while Co was not detected. Zn content of sediment samples were ranged between 0.5899 to 0.6625 mg/g while Cr content was ranged between 0.1363 to 0.4029 mg/g. These results showed that the sediment could be used as a fertilizer for city ornament plants .Item BEBAN PENCEMARAN LOGAM BERAT Hg DAN SO42- DARILIMBAH TAMBANG EMAS TERHADAP BADAN AIR SUNGAI SINGINGI KUANSING(2014-03-27) Firnadi; Hanifah, T. A.; Bali, S.The illegal gold mining at the district of Kuantan Singingi resulted the presence of dangerous heavymetalsin liquid waste in the riverof Kuantan Singingi. The aim of this study was to determine the contamination level of mercury and sulfate in Kuantan Singingi river water. Concentration of Hg was determined by using SSA while the concentration of sulfate was calculated by using UV- VISspectrophotometry. The highestconcentrationof Hg(4.066 ppb) was found inthe thirdweek ofsampling timefromstation3, whilethe lowest (1.091 ppb) found inthe firstweek ofsampling timefrom station5. Hglevelsatstation3has passed the limit of Hg contentaccording to Government RuleNo82, 2001(1 ppb). The highest sulfate content was found (25.065 mg/L) in the third weeks ofsampling timefrom station 4 and the lowest (1.948 mg/L) was in the secondweekonstations8.Based onThe Goverment Rule No.82(2001), thelevel of sulfate inall stationswaslower then water quality standard (400ppm).Item KEMAMPUAN SERAPAN ABU TULANG KAMBING TERHADAP VARIASI KONSENTRASI ION SULFAT(2014-03-27) Fitryani, R.; Bali, S.; ItnawitaCalcium oxide was a major component in bone ash. This calcium oxide has relatively opened structure, so it can be used as an adsorbent. Its adsorption ability on sulfate ion has been analyzed in an solution. The analysis of sulfate ion was carried out using Spectrophotometer UV-VIS by turbidimetry method. The results showed that concentration of bone ash affected to the adsorption of sulfate ion with optimum adsorption of 80.833% at 10 ppm of bone ash.
