Item PROFIL ANAK JALANAN PENJUAL KORAN DI KOTA PEKANBARU(2013-06-27) ALFATONIAll children are a national asset, that's the phrase that originated from the idea of children as objects and subjects him the nation's inherent attributes such as buds, the next generation, the receiver sticks estapet, future leaders and as human resource in the future of the nation's capital for development sustainability (sustainable development). To that end, the set of ideas, of paramount importance to grow and develop in a child's life have gained a very high priority. Unfortunately, not all children have equal opportunities to realize the hopes and aspirations. Problems in the study are (1) How employee characteristics as the school newspaper vendor on the streets of Pekanbaru? (2) Motivation is what drives workers as a school-age selling newspapers on the streets of Pekanbaru? (3) What about the ups and downs and expectations of school-age workers as a newspaper vendor on the streets of Pekanbaru? The purpose of this study is to Know the characteristics of school-age workers as selling newspapers on the streets of Pekanbaru. To find the motivation that encourages school-age workers as a newspaper vendor on the streets of Pekanbaru. To know the ups and downs and expectations of school-age workers as a newspaper vendor on the streets of Pekanbaru Respondents in this study sampling was restricted to school-age children are aged around 7 to 15 years. Determination of the age limit is based solely on the age of compulsory education. The process of data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. While the sampling technique used in this study is the snowball technique (such as snowball sampling) where sample amount is not known clearly. From the research that I did, mainly children selling newspapers on the streets of Pekanbaru aged between 6-14 years and they are still in school. Among the researchers made the newspaper seller respondents were 22 people, 19 of whom were men and 3 women. In addition they also sell paper trading and working as a laborer. Their motivations varied work as a newspaper seller, such that the money can be used for school purposes (buying school supplies such as stationery and books), the purposes of his / her own snacks, saving and helping parents income. The factors they plunge kejalanan such as newspaper vendors told the parents, call a friend, wants to fund his own life, told to someone else, went along with a friend, a fad. The suggestion that the authors say is To the Pekanbaru city government in particular to be more concerned about street children in Pekanbaru, by providing assistance and free school opened on them so that they are more secure future. To the publisher of the newspaper, it's good to give bonuses to the kids selling newspapers because they were already helping the publishers to circulate papers they publish. Need for rules relating to children who worked as a newspaper vendor in the city of Pekanbaru, in this case the government could be expected to take the weight of the fate of street children, so they do not stray away without any supervision related. Looking at the phenomenon that there are a lot of kids who worked as a newspaper seller does not receive the attention of the government, in this case the government should contribute as scholarships so that they do not drop out of school and keep the spirit to continue their dream become better. Her role there needs to be pro active on social services, NGOs function as a child in an institution that focuses on the problems faced by children, so that what is experienced by the child newspaper sellers can be resolved as quickly as possible.
