Abstract:
Housing is a. part that cannot be separated in the development of the city. The more
developed a city, the higher the level of population growth and increasing demand for
housing as well. Increased population means increased use of public transport both vehicles
and private vehicles, increasing use of private vehicles, especially in big cities in Indonesia,
might be congestion occurs at certain times, such as in the capital Jakarta. In addition to
congestion, air, pollution is increasing from time to time. Park and Ride is one of the
concepts in approach to traffic congestion in big cities. The application of this concept can
reduce levels of pollution in the air. The success of sustainable housing is supported by a
clean and healthy environment; One way 'is to minimize the use of vehicles on the
environment. The approach of Park and Ride concept is advantages and disadvantages on
housing. Does the concept can be applied to the housing towards sustainable city?
