dc.description.abstract |
The utilization of dry land in Riau is still not optimal. Rice variety of Batang Piaman is wetland rice which is one of the effort in utilizing dry land in Riau by means of water stress. The aim of this research was to find out the effect of water stress on rice plants on rice variety of Batang Piaman. Study used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with field capacity (100, 75, 50, 25%), with 3 replications of each treatment. The results were analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis Of Variance). The results of this study indicated that a decrease in field capacity significantly reduced plant height. But morphologically, lower plant produced higher number of tillers. The effect of various field capacity did not significantly reduce root dry weight |
