Abstract:
In this study, microwave was used to activated the avocado seed powder. The activating step was held at variation of time 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 minutes at 600 watts. The purpose of this research is to synthesize and characterize the composite of nanoparticles silver-avocado seed powder. Characterization based on moisture content, ash content, iodine adsorption power, and surface area. The characterization of avocado seed powder produced were 1.08% of moisture content, 2.06% of ash content, 868.0 mg/g of iodine adsorption power, and 91.16 m2/g of surface. The characterization of composite resulted were 1.18% of moisture content, 3.12% of ash content, 925.8 mg/g of iodine adsorption power, and 24.69 of surcae area mg/g .
