Abstract:
In this study, the activator used to activate the avocado seed powder was hydrochloric acid with variation ratio of weight 1:1; 1:2; 1:3; 1:4 and 1:5. The purpose of this research was to synthesize and characterize the composite of nanoparticles silver-avocado seed powder. The result of characterization indicated that the powder avocado seed which activated by chloride acid ratio 1:4 has the best result with water content, ash content, iodine adsorption power, methylene blue adsorption power and surface area were 2.65%; 0.46%; 785.77 mg/g; 24.53 mg/g and 91.05 m2/g, respectively. The results of characterization composite of silver nanoparticles and avocado seed powder were 1.34%; 0.73%; 855.82 mg/g; 24.62 mg/g and 91.38 m2/g for water content, ash content, iodine adsorption power, methylene blue adsorption power and surface area, respectively
