Abstract:
This article discusses a solution for the equation 1k + · · · + xk = yn in positive
integers x, k, y, n under certain assumptions on x, letting the other variables k, n, y
be completely free. This article gives bound for n and value of vp(Sk(x)) with p having
values 2 and 3, where vp(Sk(x)) is the highest exponent of v so that vp|vp(Sk(x)).
