dc.description.abstract This article discusses a modi cation closed Newton-Cotes method by adding the value of the derivative function at the midpoint which is also called midpoint-derivative based closed Newton-Cotes method to approximate de nite integral. Then, the results of numerical computation show that the approximation of midpoint-derivative based closed Newton-Cotes method is closer to the exact solution than closed Newton-Cotes method. en_US
