Abstract:
The research was conducted on employees of PT. PLN (Persero) Region Branch
Pekanbaru Riau and Riau Islands Rayon Tassel in order to analyze the effect of variable
compensation and leadership on job satisfaction of employees at PT. PLN (Persero) Region
Branch Pekanbaru Riau and Riau Islands Rayon Tassel. The purpose of this study was to
determine how much influence the compensation and leadership on job satisfaction of
employees.
This study used census sampling method, ie all employees being sampled. The
analysis method used is descriptive quantitative methods, data analysis done partially and
simultaneously (multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS version 17.0) method of data
with multiple regression analysis.
Based on the results of simultaneous testing (Test F), indicating that all the
independent variables, compensation (X1) and leadership (X2) studied had a positive and
significant effect on job satisfaction dependent variable (Y). Partial test (T test)
menunjukkanbahwa two independent variables has a positive and significant impact on job
satisfaction of employees of PT. PLN (Persero) Region Branch Pekanbaru Riau and Riau
Islands Rayon Tassel. Where the variable compensation (X1) has the most dominant
influence on job satisfaction (Y).
Suggestions can be submitted is the chairman should pay more attention to the issue
of compensation, especially in the provision of benefits that employees feel the compensation
given by the company in accordance with the employee workload.
