Abstract:
Production of carbon electrode supercapacitor made from coconut shell carbon has been
demonstrated. Increment of porosity parametry was developed by KOH activation variations.
Measurement of the physical properties of carbon powder carried by Scanning Electron
Microscopy, X-ray diffraction for the structure of crystallinity, and energy X-ray dispersive
for the content of the element. Results of Scanning Electron Microscopy characterization for
KTK 3 was lighter than the KTK 1 sample. XRD characterization results for KTK 1 sample
and KTK 3 sample have an amorphous structure. The percentage of carbon content was
92.82% for KTK 1 sample and 90.23% for the KTK 3 sample. The results indicated that the
physical properties of supercapacitor electrode was strongly influenced by the concentration
of the activator
