dc.description.abstract |
Biodiesel is one of alternative fuels which renewable and derived from vegetable oils or animal fats, so it is usemore environmentally friendly. In this study biodiesel was synthesized through transesterification reaction Crude Palm Oil (CPO) using CaO catalyst of cockle shell calcined at 800oC. Reaction conditions studied was the effect ofreaction time (1, 2, 3, 4 hour) and ratio mol of oil:methanol (1:6, 1:9, 1:12, 1:15). Biodiesel optimum results in this study was 84.17% obtained by the reaction conditions reaction time 3 hour and ratio mol of oil:methanol 1:6. |
