Abstract:
Halocarbon or R22 used in refrigeration system later revealed potentially damaging the ozone layer, as replacement could be used a hydrocarbon refrigerant. One of which is environmentally HCR22 refrigerant. In this study conducted experimentalstudy of vapor compression refrigeration machine that compares the performance of the engine in transient condition using hydrocarbon refreigerant substitutes for R22 (HCR22) an the refrigerant halocarbon (R22). The results showed that the use of hydrocarbon refrigerant HCR22 (10.6’C temperature achieved at the time 10 minutes) lower temeparature achieved fasier than using the R22 (19.8’C temperature achieved at the time 10minutes). This result is comparable with the resulting COP. COP with HCR22 (3.104 after minutes) is greater than the R22 COP (2.123 after 50minutes)compressor power used by HCR22 (0846Kwafter 65 minutes) is smaller than the R22 (0.953kW after 65 minutes). Can be concluded that the use of hydrocarbon refrigerant to produce cooling low temperature more rapid with a more afficient electrical conssumption of compressors.
