Abstract:
This article discusses the application of He’s variational iteration method to solve
a nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integral equation. The application process begins by
converting the equation to be solved to an equivalent of integro-differential equations,
followed by forming a correction functions of He’s variational iteration method for
the integro-differential equation. Then the iteration is performed to obtain the
solution of the nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integral equation. The theoretical study
is applied to two examples of the nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integral equation and
the results obtained demonstrate the effectiveness of the discussed method
