Abstract:
Belodontichtys dinema is one of high-economic fish from Riau which is currently
become endangered. This research was aimed to examine aspects reproduction of
B.dinema which include the maturity stages, gonad maturity index and sex ratio. This
research was conducted from November 2014 to March 2015. The are 66 individuals
fish observed, which consisted of 38 males and 28 females.The length of standard and
body weight for male fishes were range between 32,5-49,5 cm and 130-750gr.
Meanwhile, the length of standard and body weight of female fishes were range from
30,8-64,4 cm and 190-1950gr. Sex ratio between males and females fishes were 1,35:1.
Ripe males and females on stage IV fish was found on November with 36,33% and
13,33%. Higher GSI of male on December with 0,1754% and to female on Nopember
with 3,1204%.
