dc.description.abstract |
Phytochemical test explained that flower part from dahlia {Dahlia
variabilis) contains terpenoid, fenolic and flavonoid. These groups have been
reported that have potential as antioxidant, antimicrobial, etc. Methanol extract
from dahlia were assayed for antibacterial activity by agar diffusion method.
Methanol exfract at 10% concenfration (w/v) in ethanol absolute showed
antibacterial activities, against Bacillus subtilis, Staphilococcus aureus and
Escherichia coli. Strength of antibacterial activity for flower extract from dahlia
were showed by Du Bandung againts Bacillus subtilis (15 mm), D? Bandung and
Dii Berastagi againts Staphilococcus aureus (15 nmi), and D19 Malang againts
Escherichia coli (15 mm). |
